Differentiating Venmo and Paypal transactions

Hi,

We now have Venmo as an option for people to check out through olx, but the venmo transactions go through our Paypal account. Is there a way to tell which transactions came from Venmo and which ones are Paypal?

Hi @Kearston Roland - You will need to look within the Transaction Detail for the gift within your Business PayPal Account. I don't have one handy right now, but I seem to remember the distinction was towards the top of the page with Venmo transactions containing the word “mobile”; I might be wrong about this… I recommend you open the transaction details for a known PayPal vs Venmo transaction and see what the difference is.

Thank you @Austen Brown for the information. I chatted with someone from Blackbaud and they stated there is not a way to differentiate the payments. I looked through our transactions details and have not found it listed anywhere. If you have any more information or know of anything else, please let me know! Thank you!

I remember it has being difficult to find, it is at the very top of the transaction detail page (not the export). It will not directly say Venmo or PayPal but rather a phrase. It is the difference in the phrase that clues you in as to whether it originated in Venmo or PayPal.
