Exception batches for Luminate Online gifts only

Hey - I couldn't find anything on this issue. When committing a batch an exception gift batch is created. There are no errors listed, the gift is committed to the record despite being in the exception gift batch and it seems to only be happening to gifts that are from Luminate Online. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Apparently it happens despite ensuring all options for exception gift batches and reports are unselected and validating gifts shows no issues. Again, this is not happening for any gifts entered via Batch that are from any other source. My team has tried to problem solve with customer service - but they seemed stumped (this was a while ago).
