I'm curious to know if there will be content specifically geared to K-12 Raiser's Edge users. In past years, anything to do with Raiser's Edge has been excluded from UC and forced into bbcon. However, the needs of RE users in K-12 is often different than that of users in other verticals. It would be wonderful to see content developed to specifically support K-12 Raiser's Edge users.

    Some content ideas:
    • Best practices for record management across spouses/families
    • How to use Webview to accurately calculate % participation rates
    • To separate or not? What to do with spouse records?
    • Best practices for importing and updating records across school systems
    • RE Connect, native Import, Importacular, or ImportOmatic: Choosing the best importing tool for your organization
    • VSE Reporting: methods to calculate data for annual VSE report; how the VSE report in Database View calculates data
    • NAIS DASL survey: methods to calculate data for annual NAIS DASL report
    • Dashboard awards! Showcasing the best of user created webview dashboards at K-12 schools!
    • You did WHAT?!? How best to track student/alum participation in athletics, arts, awards, co-curriculars
    • Scholarship & Stewardship: Systems for tracking scholarship recipients in RE for stewardship purposes
I'd love to hear what other Raiser Edge users within the K-12 community would like to see for sessions!
  • I'd love to see an Advancement Services/Fundraising track developed for the K12 UC! You're right that it feels like we are pushed to attend the larger BBCON to get our fill of RE and FE; but then over there, we don't get nearly enough K12 content.

I still find value in attending them, but would rather have one Blackbaud conference that was truly comprehensive for the entire Blackbaud product portfolio for K12.

I'd be interested in presenting how we are working with records in an RE Connected K12 environment. And I know at least one other who would probably be willing to share their thoughts as well; @Graham Getty, shall we start brainstorming session ideas?

  • I hope they have content for teachers and athletic personnel. It would be nice to see more content on how those users can improve their experience with the software.

  • We are virtual again at least for this year, @Graham Getty – but we'll cross our fingers for at least a "hybrid," in-person and virtual event option for 2023!

  • I will pass this along to both the K-12 UC Planning Committee and the Executive Advisory Board, @Coco Parham - thanks for the request!

  • Your comments & suggestions will be shared with both the K-12 UC Planning Committee and Executive Advisory Board, @Jimmy Cudzilo, so please stay tuned for conference updates.

  • Your content ideas are very valuable, @Carlene Johnson – thank you; I will pass them along to the conference Planning Committee.

  • This is still undetermined, @Cecilia Kwilos - but I should know more on/around March 1, so stay tuned…

  • I attended the Future of Education Technology Conference in Orlando last month and it was AMAZING to be back in person and face-to-face with other technology leaders. I'm definitely more productive at physical conferences than at virtual ones.

  • Agree with @Jimmy Cudzilo - was at FETC also and it was very productive and networking alone a BENEFIT! Can't do that virtually.
