Hard Bounce & Apple Private Relay

We experienced a large spike in one of our early December sends that is largely tied to Apple private relay email addresses, generated when users register with Sign On With Apple.

A large number (~30k) are now labeled as “Bad (Hard Bounce)” and have not received messages since around 12/10/21.

Questions here:

• Has anyone else experienced a similar spike with these addresses (…@privaterelay.appleid.com)?
• Are there any options/ideas on resetting these back to at least Email Status=“Unknown” to be able to slowly get these back in action?

We're digging into these a bit more to find out if there are any donors or other action takers that were caught in the mix, but regardless, it would be a shame to see this chunk of records leave our emailable file.

Yikes! I'd be interested in knowing how to keep these from bouncing as well. We only have a few of these emails showing up, but the timing is similar. They stopped getting our emails in early December.
