Is there a reason the interface for Gift Receipting creation & OLX email designer are so similar but lack identical functionality?

For instance, you can modify the color of a text content section in one but not the other. Another example would be what are considered Valid Merge fields. It seems that these should function identically but they don't.

Also, what is the likelihood of making the Gift Receipting creation into a fully fledged Donor Acknowledgment hub? It would be wonderful to generate complete letters from NXT without having to navigate to the RE7 version.

With the news today of Microsoft merges being taken away, and as March 1st we will have to export and merge manually our acknowledgement letters, as well as any other items you might merge, it would be EXTREMELY helfpul if there was something comparable already set up in NXT before they remove what has been and still is a basic and necessary function. I honestly cannot believe this is happening and I am EXTREMELY unhappy!! I'm sure I cannot be the only one who is in disbelief.

Kathleen, can you elaborate on this? I haven't heard anything about this. Are you saying that RE7 won't generate stored acknowledgment letters any longer?
