Gifts Acknowledging without running Mail Module

Options

Hi,

We run our letters in the mail module with a query. We run the query 1st with the updated date range to see just how many are in the queue. We usually don't save the query until we are ready to run letters. Lately, when we go back to the query to run those letters, the gifts do not show up because they somehow become acknowledged? How is that possible when we never ran the Mail Module with that query?

If you run the query in mail, you should see a pop-up along the lines of "Do you want to mark the records as acknowledged?" Are you choosing 'No'? If you choose yes it will mark the as acknowledged even if you are only exporting/creating query, not merging.
  • We are not getting to that step. The query is run in Query, with a specific date range to get an idea of how many letters will be needed. Then, the query is closed out without saving. We go back to that same query and run it again with the same date range and we get 0 records and after some sleuthing find out they were acknowledged without going through Mail or a Global Change or even Manually.

RE gremlins strike again!!! Sorry I wasn't clear from original post that query was created in query and not an output query in Mail.

    That is really strange, Lauren!

So you recreate the query and then get 0 results? If gifts are changed to acknowledged it's not just a difference in the queries. I'm not aware of any way that you can set an auto process to do something like that just by running a query. No chance that another user is doing the process at the same time?

I'm assuming query is in db view, not list/query in NXT. Is this a new issue? Happen for multiple users? (Support questions, LOL)

    So odd!

Sounds like a case for support!
