Remove username/password from registration form?

Is it possible to create a simplified registration form that doesn't require the participant to create a username and password, and just have the system assign them one? We want to create a super simple quick reg form that basically just collects name and email, and registers them for the TR. Is this possible?

Hi Joann,

I understand the goal of wanting to simplify Registration, however, by letting the system generate the username and password, you're also making it more difficult for your participants to fundraise for you, which is not ideal.

My recommendation is to send an email to all of your past participants with a prominent REGISTER button that includes the autologin=true parameter. This way, when they go to Register for your event, the username/password creation bit will not appear.

I would encourage you to continue letting any new participants create their own username and password so they can login and fundraise.

These may or may not be past participants, and they probably won't be fundraising, since they're registering same-day just to attend the event. Requiring them to log in or create a username or password is going to slow them down and create a bottleneck at the event entry point. How can we make the reg form as simple and quick as possible, but still get them registered for the teamraiser and allow them to make a donation at the time of registration if they wish.

Another possibility for day-of registrations is collecting the required info in a spreadsheet and using that for a TeamRaiser registration upload:

With the TeamRaiser registration import, username and password are required in the import but if you are using excel you could potentially generate a username and password for anyone who doesnt provide one by using the auto-fill feature in excel.
