Mobile Phone Collection

Options

During the TeamRaiser registration process, how is everyone collecting mobile phone number? When I talked to support, they basically said we would need to add it as an additional question and it could not be added to the section where constituent information is collected, but it seems kind of odd to have it in the additional question section.

We're using texting more and more, and it would be helpful to specifically ask for mobile and have it map to our mobile phone field in LCRM.

    Hi Amber!

For that suggestion made by customer support, that sounds spot on! There is some additional info that may help though!

For your custom questions, you can map those so a response updates a specific field on a constituent's record. In your case, your question would be:

    What is your mobile number?

Then, you'd map that response so that it updates the phone / mobile phone field on the constituent's record as seen here:

In terms of pulling that data into LCRM, if you follow this method, the data will automatically be mapped into LCRM because the Mobile Phone field maps to LCRM natively:

Regarding your comment on the ‘odd appearance’ of having the question in the lower portion of the registration instead of up by the biographical info where the other ‘Phone Number’ field is, it is possible to use javascript to move an element on your form from one spot to another. So if you have a web-developer who can take a look, they can likely move that custom question wherever you'd like it to appear on your form!

    Hopefully this helps!

I will check back here to see if you have any questions!

    Have a great day!!
