How are State Senate and State House District Name related to to District Number Mappings?

Some states use textual district names for their state senate or state house districts. Convio converts these names to numeric values before storing them in the constituent's state senate or state house district fields.

For example, the New Hampshire state house district named "Cheshire 01" is stored as state house district "12" in the Convio contact database. If you wanted to find constituents in that district, you would need to query on "12" rather than "Cheshire 01" for state house district.

Pages are available on the Convio Customer Center that show all of the more unusual state senate and state house mappings. You can get to the pages by going to the Convio Customer Center and clicking on the "Advocacy Data Summary" link on the home page. You will be taken to a page that contains links to the state senate and state house mappings.
