Importing data to RE from SITS:VISION

Has anyone found any quick/easy ways to do this?


We're currently exporting from SITS to Excel, manipulating the data in Excel - formatting and transforming, then manually importing as a csv.

It works, but its very time consuming.


Any suggestions, products, hacks welcomed.

I feel your pain! We've been running the same process as this for a long time now - so labour intensive and time consuming, particularly at peak periods!

Lobbying for automation but it's a long way for us.

Happy to have a chat and compare notes on current process

Check out Importacular or ImportOmatic. Some versions of Importacular are free, but more complex importing will require a paid subscription. I don't believe that ImportOmatic has a free version.


Both products allow you to save templates and transform data your data at the time of import, so you may be able to eliminate the formatting and transforming steps. Native RE import won't allow that, so one of these products really is the only option to streamline the process. This assumes that you cannot control how the data comes to you from SITS. If there is any modification that you can make there, or modification to how the data lands in RE, that may also help in your process.
