Grant Tracking

Options
My organization is looking into grant tracking in eTapestry and I can't find any good examples of how exactly people enter grants into their database. I have a general understanding of all of the user defined fields, but does anyone have any good examples as to how they enter their grants and then use them to pull queries?

  • Julia, I'm doing the same thing for our organization: enabling grant/sponsorship tracking as well as moves management. I asked a similar question last week about the MM module. I really want to see how someone who is actively using both manages the process. Let's stay connected and see if we can help one another.
  • Sounds great Heidi! Let me know if you ever want to connect and bounce ideas off of each other.
  • I would love to connect! Where are you located?
  • Hi Heidi and Julia, I would love learn more about what solutions you use to track grants or other asks. We are a new organization and have mostly used eTap for just gift and pledge entry. However, we would now like to track all asks we have out there and then if we received the ask and for what amount. Curious if reports could be run to also see totals asks pending, received, YTD, etc. Anything you are willing to share about what you do I would appreciate it. Thank you

  • Heidi, I see this post is from last year. I'm very new to eTapestry and reading this particular statement from you regarding grant/sponsorship tracking and moves management absolutely echoes my situation. I'm hesitant to create my mm procedure without seeing this “live and in color" or demonstrated by another user. Can you direct me to any specific resources? Many thanks!

  • Heidi/Julia/John/Nancy,

My org is just starting to use the grant tracking function, and would love to know best practices as well. In particular, have any of you set them up as pledge schedules and connected them to the grant contact that gets set up? Otherwise, do you have any suggestions for how to best to track money that has come in for a grant that has been set up as a contact? Alternatively, do you have any suggestions for fields to add to the grant tracking system defined fields that have helped you?
