Anonymous donor's Annual Statment

A donor requested their 2020 Annual Statement, but when I preview/print, the donor comes up listed as "Anonymous" with no address/email. I presume this is because their record has "Gives Anonymously" checked. But even after I uncheck it (and save), the donor's report still comes up as "anonymous."


What's the solution? Looked all over their record, and in the Annual Statement report settings, and I think I've covered everything, but still... "Anonymous."


Any thoughts?

Have you checked the individual gift? You can make a gift record as anonymous and that can impact reports.

Success! It was a monthly recurring gift, so I had to uncheck "Gift is anonymous" on all the payments, but once I did that, it worked.

Should those gifts be Anonymous though? If so, definitely go back and change them!


I have a feeling this is a user setting issue. Go to Tools | User Options and then click the Report tab:




You can choose to include or exclude anonymous gifts on any report generated from RE. If you include them, you can then choose how the donor's name should be displayed. I suspect your setting was on "Use Anonymous".
