Problem Pulling Members from Memberships

Options
Is there a way to pull a list of all Members? We have several joint Memberships and my Director wants to send an email to both Members, but no matter what I do I can only pull the primary Member for the record. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Kassi, does each member have their own constituent record? If not, then unfortunately I don't see a way to send an email to them. If they do have their own constituent record, and are linked correclty to the membership record, then pull a constituent query, membership current = "criteria" status = "active" etc.

It has been awhile since I've worked with anyone using Membership, but here's what I remember from working with it about 7 years ago!

You can definitely display joint members in queries and exports. I just added a membership in a test environment and ran a constituent query where Membership was added by me. I only included Constituent name in the output, and see the primary membership holder and the joint member. Do you have joint members set up under the Members and Cards button on a Membership?

  • Yes, we have the joint members set up under the Members and Cards button.

I think Elaine is right, not all of the joint members were constituents in RE. We are evaluating our process, and might have to make some changes.

Thank you both, this really helped.
