    Eric,

There isn't a way to query based on a radius or proximity to a certain zip or city. The best thing I've seen done in the past is one of a few ways:

    1. If you have Advocacy you can use data used for that to narrow down a target list based on the Congressional District or some other district information
    2. If zip code is available for everyone, you can do an offline Excel project to build County info with that and import it back into the cons record
    3. You may be able to use the first two or three numbers of a zip code. You have query filter where you can say, "Zip begins with XXX". Zip codes should start with the same numbers for local areas.

These are the only ways I've done this in the past but I'm sure there are other ways. There are even data services where you can give them the data in your records and they can fill in any data that you're missing and want. Of course this comes for a fee but it could be very valuable for you if you plan to do more of this localized communication.

Hope this helps. Please let me know what you decide to do and how well it works.

I don't suppose querying by distance is possible, some 8 years later?

“Find all records within 20 miles of zip code xxxxxx”?
