Pledge Reminder: Need Schedule Included

Options
I have discovered the Reminders in Mail. When I run this, though, none of our outstanding pledges appear and we have several. I know I can pull the outstanding amount and last paid amount and such, but is there a way now to actually pull the pledge installment schedule into a letter? When we migrated from eTap last year we were told this was not doable, although it was available in eTap. We are preparing to start a new campaign and want to have in place better procedures for following up on pledges. Since I'm new to the department and in charge of all things Raiser's Edge, any help is appreciated!

    Welcome to RE!

First issue-for a pledge to pull into the reminder process the "send reminders" checkbox on the pledge record must be checked. If that is checked and constituent is not pulling in, it's because they do not fit the date, fund filters etc. somewhere. Run date has to include payment due date or beyond.

Don't think the complete schedule is exportable into reminders. When I've done pledge TY, my letter was formatted for a section with pledge info: pledge amount, pledge balance, installment frequency, installment amount, and start date.

Then in our reminders we had the pledge amount, amount paid, pledge balance and amount due fields.

I would suggest taking a BB training course on Mail functions if you haven't.

JoAnn Strommen‍ thanks for mentioning the box for receiving reminders. I had not noticed that, although I don't think I have yet had to enter a new pledge. I did verify all of ours do have that, so that was a relief.

I am working to reword past reminders now that they used from eTap. I like your suggestion of including certain information in the initial pledge thank you letter. I will have to look into that since we are beginning a new campaign and float the idea to our Director of Major Gifts since the schedule cannot be included.

Fortunately, I have taken a couple of the trainings on Mail. Unfortunately, I have not had to put a lot of it to use yet since I am slowly being integrated into various things being new to the school. Some of it is just remembering what I've learned so I can apply it now and make some processes better.

Thanks so much for the help!
