Help Name our New Badge!

Options
Hi CAG!

We are creating a new badge in Community for someone who marks their question as answered.

I created a poll on the side for you to vote on the name of the new badge. Help us out and cast your vote for which one you like the best!

Crystal Bruce‍ - Would we ever consider letting users (or a select group of users) mark any post as ‘answered’? From a search perspective, it would be nice to be able to search on the ‘unanswered’ status to locate posts that actually still need an answer; right now, I used the ‘no response’ filter with varying success.
  • Austen Brown‍ Yes! We've talked about this as a team, it would have to be limited to a certain group of members, just to be sure that the question is truly answered. We are working to get the original poster to mark it as answered first, then exploring what option b is if they don't. It is an idea that we are still planning out.

How would you describe the issue you are running into when filtering my "unanswered question?"

Crystal Bruce‍ - This may be a one user problem - just mine! I primarily use the BB Community to help people, answer their questions or point them in the right direction. I am primarily comment on posts that have limited to no responses, and right now the only way I have figured out how to find these types of posts is through the 'no response' search filter. This means it is harder to find posts with 'limited responses' (1-2 comments); I manually search for these posts by paying attention to the comment number displayed next to the post's summary; in some instances the post was answered on the first comment, in others it is not. Having the distinction of 'unanswered' meaning the post is a truly unanswered, would help me locate posts to comment on. Does that make sense?
