Donation Receipt - Never Received Emailed Copy for my Department's Records

I've configured Online Express so that every time an online donation is made, I receive an emailed copy of the receipt. I use this receipt to keep for my department's records.

Unfortunately, earlier this month, two online donations were received into Online Express BUT I never received an emailed copy of their receipt. Can someone please help me figure out how to reprint those receipts?

    Hi Therese Magsipoc‍ - I know you can re-send the e-confirmations through BBMS to constituents, but I don't know how you would get a copy for yourself.  In the very least, if you utilize the open to export a transaction summary you could use that as back-up or export a transaction search from BBMS.  Good luck!
  • Isn't there a place you can enter a different email address when you resend the email receipt?  Maybe you could do that but enter your email address instead.

    I've had this happen once, and although it was a few years ago, I bet it's still the same. We were never able to figure out a way, even with BB's help, to get that same email sent again. We decided to contact the donor to figure out if a specific fund had been chosen, and printed/screen shot from BBMS for donation backup.

    I've had that happen a few times and I found on the BBMS website the ability to have a weekly email with the number of transactions and total amount.


    EXAMPLE BELOW:

    Your Blackbaud Merchant Services account online transaction activity starting on Monday, August 9, 2021 and ending on Sunday, August 15, 2021 is as follows:

    Summary: 1 (USD) $250.00


    To do this, after logging into BBMS, go to your user name at the top right of the BBMS web page and select Email Notifications. There you can set up a weekly or daily summary, as well as being notified of suspect transactions. We have it set so that donations of $10,000 or more trigger an email to me to view it before the transaction completes.


    If it looks like you missed getting your email notification, you can opt to have an acknowledgement resent - but enter your email address. Unfortunately it doesn't provide all of the information, but I do believe I had BB resend the original email notification to me one time--but not sure if I am remembering correctly. So, do check with BB. But if not, you have an email confirmation that can be put with your gift paperwork, and anything they may have entered on the gift form will be included in the OLX gift record you download.

  • If you go into Online Express to “view transaction history” there is an option to resend the receipt. You can just change the email to your own and resend. You do have to resend one by one, however,
