How do you set up for the donor to pay the fees in OLX

Hi Frederick Curry‍ - Check out the thread called, "SmartTHING - SmartDONORCOVER - Tell me about your experience".  My org utilizes this product on our OLX forms, the attached thread includes an post about my experience with it.  I highly recommend SmartDONORCOVER and the best part is it's FREE!

Just to be clear, Frederick Curry‍, OLX doesn't have the option built in to allow the donor to cover their fees.  SmartDONORCOVER is a great third-party option

This looks like a great tool! If I'm looking at the linked topic correctly (thanks for sharing, Austen), the donor can cover the processing fee, and there's no additional transaction fee for the service. I'm curious how they make any money on this. Call me cynical, but I worry about entrusting our donors' credit card info to script created by a third-party that doesn't seem to benefit from the service. But SmartThing is also new to me. Does anyone know any more about the service? Thanks!

SMARTThing never sees the credit card number, it's just a bit of code that creates the box a donor can click to add the fees to their gift. We recently got OLX and this was a highly desired feature - our account rep pointed us toward the tool noting that it's free because they see it as a way to get you interested in their other paid services. Somebody with enough technical knowhow could have done it on their own, they're just making it easy.

Does the full payment appear in BBMS? Or do you somehow get the revenue from SMARTThing?
