Please establish a link between Gift records and Media/Attachment records, like there is with Actions and Proposals/Opportunities

Hi Dustin Price‍ - This is a great idea! I would recommend that you go vote for this topic within the RE Idea Bank - the idea with the most votes is titled "Link media to gift".  I would also recommend adding this idea to the RE NXT Idea Bank, as I do not see it listed there.

The "Link media to gift" idea is actually marked as Will not implement and there is this comment from Jarod Bonino‍ in January 2018: "Hey there. I love the idea! Unfortunately this isn't something that we will be adding in RE7 for a variety of reasons, including the fact that media files in RE7 are stored in a way that has the potential to bloat the RE database and slow down the application. I will say though that this is something that we have already added to RE NXT web view, so in general we totally agree with this feedback and have already done something to address it in the latest version of RE."


In terms of the section I bolded in Jarod's comment, you are able to add an attachment to a gift record in NXT. It will not show up in the attachments tile because you are adding it on the gift record itself, but there is that ability in NXT. That doesn't help you in RE7/databaste view, but just thought I would add this information.
