Write Off/Adjust Planned Gift?

A donor has a revocable Bequest in Raiser's Edge but decided to fund it in his lifetime. Is there any way to adjust or write off the bequest? The Write Off and Adjust options in the Gift menu are grayed out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    We've had that happen once or twice.  In cases like that we generally just delete/remove the planned gift and put in the donation as an actual gift (depending upon the nature of the donation).


    We always keep backup and documentation of the original planned gift, but it's not really a planned gift if you aren't going to receive anything else from it.  


    For Gift Annuities we put in a planned gift and then IMMEDIATELY realize the planned gift (because we received something).... The final value of the gift annuity won't be known until the person passes away and everything is settled.
