Dear folks, I am wondering what kind of crownfunding platforms do you use. Which is better.


Any ideas are helpful.  Looks like teamraiser and facebook integration cannot be used in Canada.

Catherine Han‍ a quick question, why can't TR, or FB be used in Canada? I haven't heard of that before.

Note that the limitation with Canadian non-profits being unable to create Facebook Fundraisers is not a limitation of TeamRaiser, rather, it is a limitation on the Facebook side. While Canadian Facebook users can now create Facebook Fundraisers on facebook.com, e.g. birthday fundraisers, they can only do so through PayPal's donor-advised fund, which then distributes funds to each non-profit at a later date. Because of this, the Facebook Fundraiser API does not currently support creating fundraisers in Canada. This will not be possible until Facebook allows Canadian organizations to accept donations directly, as U.S. non-profits are able to.

So TR works in Canada, just not the full FB integration. Now I see what you are going for. We still use TR for P2P fundraising. We have two TRs that do this right now. Here is one of them:

Another question is:


If one company/one individual wants to do team competition. Only one person (one email) manages all teams with separate pages (one team per page). How do you deal with it. Because TeamRaiser only accept one email with one page instead of one email with multiple pages. A lot of companies complain it.

Hi Catherine,


We have two DIY TRs that are up year round. They allow the person that wants to fundraise on your behalf to do that.


So there is no end date to these two TeamRaisers, so you could use that as a way to crowdfund.

Brian Mucha‍ should be able to answer your other question. He set up something in our TR to handle this. I don't want to speak incorrectly on it.
