How to record individual and corporate partner attendance at an event without 'duplicating' the results?

Options
We have several corporate partners and hold events for them (I am trying to record attendance at these events). My issue is that some of the individuals that represent the Corporation at these events also have a personal affiliation so exist in our system as individuals and separate to the corporation we have an agreement with. My problem is what to do with the corporations that don't have a representative personally affiliated with the school. If I list multiple attendees for each Corporation, it won't be immediately clear from a query how many attendees there are. Short of creating a separate account for every non-already-affiliated attendee, I can't see another way to do it. I don't think adding new accounts is right either because you're potentially adding so many new accounts for people who will only be in contact with us once.

I'd need to be able to show who attended from our organisation so I can't completely rule out showing individuals...

  • Do you have individuals and companies register for the event through a DIY form? If so, you can use UDFs to help manage attendees.
