Fuzzy Birthdates on Relationships tab don't display correctly

If I remember correctly it was RE 7.93 where they added the ability to have a fuzzy birthdate that was just month and day.  It was a welcome addition for those Constituents where you might not know the year they were born, but still want to send a birthday card.  I'm in the middle of a big data analysis project and needing to look at the ages of children in our system when I came across this issue https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/72790. It turns out that RE can't display such birthdates correctly when you show that column on the Relationships tab.  A birthdate of November 30 (no year) will display as 11/1930.  And this is one of those wonderful bugs where "We have evaluated this issue as a potential defect and we have determined it will not be addressed in the software in its current state.  In this case, the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue."


VENT: It's not a "potential defect."  It's a KNOWN defect.  Because I'm doing my analysis using external tools I'm able to program around the issue to get good data, so I fail to see why BB can't do the same.  It displays correctly on the General 2 tab of the Relationship, how can they not be able to use the same code on the Relationships tab??


Is anyone else using this and run into the same problem?
