Linking to a Donation Form, a Donation Level, or a List of Premiums

Although a published donation form is automatically linked to your user-facing Donation List page during the dates when the form is active, you may wish to link to the donation form from another page or from an email. You can also choose to link directly to a specific Donation Level or to a list of the Premiums associated with your Donation Form.

Linking to a Donation Form

Use the WYSIWYG html editor to create a link to the Donation Form as follows:

1. Access the WYSIWYG html editor for your page or email.

2. Type a bit of text to introduce your donation form.

3. Select a portion of the text (for example, the name of the form).

4. Click the arrow to the right of the Links menu and choose Donation Forms from the drop-down list.

5. In the Link Selector box that opens, choose the Insert link next to the Name of your Donation Form. (Use the Options link if you would like to provide a Link Title for those using assistive technologies.)

6. Complete your email or page according to your standard procedure.

Linking to a Donation Level

You can also link directly to a Donation Level for a published Donation Form using the WYSIWYG links menu. For example, you might like to send an email to donors who have been particularly generous in the past and provide them with a link to your highest donation level. Provide this link as follows:

1. Access the WYSIWYG html editor for your page or email.

2. Type a bit of text to introduce your donation level.

3. Select a portion of the text (for example, the name of the level).

4. Click the arrow to the right of the Links menu and choose Donation Levels from the drop-down list.

5. In the Link Selector box that opens, choose the Insert link next to the Name of your Donation Level. (Use the Options link if you would like to provide a Link Title for those using assistive technologies.)

6. Complete your email or page according to your standard procedure.

Linking to a List of Premiums

New for Convio 4.0.0 You can also link directly to a List of Premiums for a Donation Form. The constituent is essentially presented with a shopping cart for premiums associated with the donation form. This can provide your constituents with an extra incentive for contributing to your Fundraiser. The constituent is also offered the opportunity to add an additional contribution when selecting one or more Premiums.

Note: A Site Setup parameter may also be turned on so that constituents can indicate the desired quantity of each Premium. Consult with your account manager or a member of support if you would like to enable this option.

Provide a link to a list of Premiums for a Donation Form using the WYSIWYG links menu as follows:

1. Access the WYSIWYG html editor for your page or email.

2. Type a bit of text to introduce your Premium selections.

3. Select a portion of the text (for example, the words Premium List).

4. Click the arrow to the right of the Links menu and choose Premium Selector from the drop-down list.

5. In the Link Selector box that opens, choose the Insert link next to the Name of the Donation Form for which you would like to display the premiums. (Use the Options link if you would like to provide a Link Title for those using assistive technologies.)

6. Complete your email or page according to your standard procedure.

Note: The constituent who selects one or more premiums will be charged once for any standard shipping charge that you have in place, plus any applicable per item shipping charges.
