Payment page for event registration shows image and formatted text from another event. I have created a brand new page with a brand new form and I still have the same issue.

Snigdha Verma‍, I certainly hope you've figured this out by now, but you may have to alter the template itself, or at least change out the parts on your page.  The templates contain parts that come into every page they are used for.  Sounds like the image and text are a different part than your form part.
