How do I create a page that only certain constituents can see?

Options

Basically there are four general steps. Create a security category, create a group, populate the group, and set the security category of the page, event, etc. You can do this with security categories as long as they are not being used to control the sites pagewrappers.

Create a Security Category:

1. Go to Site Setup and click the Security Categories tab.

2. Click Create a New Security Category. Enter the name and description. Change the priority to High or Very High.

3. Save.

4. Click the Category Permissions tab.

5. Choose Content Viewing in the permissions drop-down, then click Choose.

6. Change the Default Permission to Cannot View Content. Save. This configuration is so that site visitors cannot view the content in this security category.

Create a User Security Group:

1. Go to Constituent360 and click the Groups tab.

2. Click "Create a new group" link. Enter a name and description for the group. Choose User Security Group for the Security Mode and select the appropriate Group Type. Save.

3. Click the Group Permissions tab.

4. Choose Content Viewing from the permissions drop-down and then click Choose.

5. Click the "Add an override" link. Then select the Security Category you created in the Category Name drop-down. "Then select the View Content for the group...". Save.

6. Click Save.

7. Populate the group. You should test this with a test account you create before populating it will member records.

Apply the Security Category to a Page, Event, etc by changing the security category of the object. For example to change it for a page do the following:

1. Go to Content, then choose the page you want to change by clicking the name of the page.

2. Then in the Category drop-down choose the security category. Save the page.
