What does the forwarding statistic mean?

Options

If you send me an email, and then I click on a “Forward to a Friend” link (NOT THE FORWARD BUTTON IN MY EMAIL CLIENT), what happens is that the system then begins to track that forwarded email email.

If my friend opens that email (an open is constituted by: 1) they receive the HTML version of the email (2) they open that email AND download the images) then that will register as Forwarded Open

If my friend clicks on any links in that email, then that registers as a “Forwarded Click through”

If my friend clicks on any link which takes them to the Convio powered website, AND then in that same session they take an action (an action is: RSVP for a calendar event, make a donation, buy a ticket for calendar event, register for a TeamRaiser, send an eCard, complete a survey, complete a reg form/quickreg form) then you will get forwarded action

Total forwarding via website means that they have clicked on the “Forward to a Friend” link which actually takes them to a Tell-a-Friend page on the website which allows them to send that email to a friend with modified conditionals and personalization fields.

Please note that we cover the Email Reports definitions in Email Campaigns eLearning class (taught twice a month).
