My organization is currently on RE7 with the idea we'll switch to NXT sometime in 2019.


With that said, we're looking to relieve some pain our finance department has.  They're currently using Great Plains, and the export and import of data from RE to GP has been painful and tedious for the finance team.  I suggest they look into PostOmatic as a solution.


I've been looking at posts in the community about PostOmatic.  Seems there were some issues reported in 2016, but nothing too current.  I basically was curious if anyone is using PostOmatic w/ Great Plains and either RE7 or NXT and if they've found any hiccups or frustrations?  I want to create a hopefully smooth process for the financial team, and I want to know what might be some hills I'll have to climb if we do invest in the software.

Also interested to hear other options. Was told on Friday that our Finance dept also want to switch to RE NXT because it will play better with accounting. I admit I'm not excited about it so will follow with interest other options and comments.

We have Great Plains and RE NXT too, looking into Postomatic. Also interested if anyone has feedback.

I can't speak to Great Plains, but our accounting system is completely different from Raiser's Edge. PostOmatic bridges that gap. Omatic will create/program a custom template to meet the needs of your accounting system. Through an iterative process of testing and feedback, the file of transactions that PostOmatic exports will match what you need. We have been extremely happy with the product.
