REcurring Gift Batches

Options
Just started at new organization, I have 30 or so recurring gift batches that all need to be run on the same date, but were created separately. Is there a way to merge them, so I don't have to run thirty each month?

I know of no way to merge queries. You can load a records that are in a query into a batch as a group (option in under Tools when in Batch).

If payments are all due the same day/time frame you could try creating a new batch using the Auto-generate tool. I really like this tool. You can select from All Records or use query. You can test it by generating the batch - it it's not what you want, delete, refine, etc. Nothing will happen on the records until you actually process the batch. I switched to using this feature for all my batches that were recurring.

Perhaps someone with one of the import plug-ins might have a way to combine them thru an import.

  • Thanks all the trouble is they are from online donations so the load feature does not seem to work.
  • Kim Riener‍ - if they're online gifts..... check a couple of the records to see if they have "Recurring Gift" type gifts on them.  If you find recurring gifts, I am pretty sure the auto-generate feature should work for you to pull everyone into a new gift batch.  You can pull up the recurring batches side by side to compare, or export the batches and check rows off as you match them to the new batch that is created.

If you don't find recurring gifts, maybe setting up recurring gifts on these records, and then using the auto-generate tool to pull them into a new batch is in your future?
