How do I configure the Tell-a-Friend Message for a Calendar event?

Options

The Tell-a-Friend message is a word or image link that users can click to pass along the event information to their friends to help promote the event.

To configure the Tell-a-Friend:

1. From the open event, click Tell-a-friend from the third-level navigation bar.

2. On the page that opens, for:

-Subject, type in appropriate subject text of the email. This can be the event name (for example, Join Me for an Interesting Lecture).

-Allow the user to edit the message subject radio button selected if you want to let the user personalize this subject, or click the Make subject read-only radio button to force the user to use your message subject.

-Body, type in your text of your message.

-Allow the user to edit the text of the message, leave this radio button selected or click one of the other radio buttons if appropriate.

3. To use an underlined word link instead of the Tell-a-Friend image, click the Style drop-down menu and select Link.

4. Click the Save button. The system places your Tell-a-Friend image or text link in the event description displayed to the user.
