StoryBuilder Glossary

Options

Archive - contains past articles that are no longer deemed useful for display on your site. Archived articles are not included in the Administrators' Article List and will not be included when using the Search feature. Articles may, however, be restored from the archive if necessary.

Author - the person who writes the StoryBuilder article. The author's name will appear beneath the date when the article is displayed.

Byline - see Author.

Catalog - contains articles that are no longer deemed current, but that you may still want to keep available in searches. You can choose whether to include cataloged articles in displays and searches when configuring the StoryBuilder Headline component; cataloged articles continue to be displayed in the Administrators' Article List.

Catalog Date - the date when the Status of the article will change from Published to Cataloged; you may preset this date when composing the article and the system will automatically make the change. You can also manually catalog an article by changing the catalog date to the current date. See also, Catalog.

Heading Photo - may be added when composing the article; will appear between the author and the subheading when the article is displayed.

Headline - a line at the top of the article that gives a short statement of its contents; will be displayed in larger type.

StoryBuilder Headline Component - available in the drop-down component menu on the Edit Page Contents screen for all PageBuilder pages; allows the Administrator to configure the display of news articles.

Publish Date - the date when an article will be displayed to the user; this date is set on the Article Editor screen when composing the article. If the date is in the future, the article will be displayed at 12 AM on the selected date; if the date is the current date, the article will be displayed as soon as it is published, provided you have a StoryBuilder Headline component in place.

Related Article - an article in the same Interest Category as the one being displayed

Related Link - a link to another page or another site that may have some bearing on the subject of the article; a related link can be added on the Article Editor screen when composing the article. Related links added to other Convio pages or applications will be bi-directional -- that is, the "related" page will contain a link back to the StoryBuilder article.

Subheading - a subordinate heading that may give additional information; will be displayed just before the main body of the article.
