Trusted-sender.convio.net FAQs that can be shared with Constituents when Yahoo DomainKeys are not implemented for your site

There may be some Convio clients that do not add the Yahoo Domain Key TXT record to the DNS for the domain that is used in Convio email campaigns. There are obvious benefits to adding the TXT record to your domains DNS, but if your organization does not implement this feature, Convio will implement it for you by using a Convio.net email address to Yahoo.com recipients. The name of the sender and the reply to address will be preserved in the message but the "from" email address will be: "c"+(short name for organization)@trusted-sender.convio.net. Donors and constituents may have questions about why they are receiving messages from this address rather than your own domain. Feel free to use the following FAQs and customize it for your organization to send to these individuals if questions arise:

Q: Why am I receiving email from c+ahs@trusted-sender.convio.net?

A: AHS organization has a partnership with Convio, a software and services company for nonprofit organizations. The message and information that you receive from this email address is written and approved by AHS organization but sent using Convio software and email servers. As a Yahoo email user, you have received an email from c+ahs@trusted-sender.convio.net to allow Convio to send verified email on AHS organization's behalf. This is a technology approach that AHS Organization and Convio have in place is to ensure that the messages you've asked to receive from AHS Organization actually make it to your inbox.

Q: How do I know I can trust the message from c+ahs@trusted-sender.convio.net?

A: When viewing a message in your Yahoo Inbox from this address, you should notice an image of a key and an envelope next to the senders name on this message. This icon indicates that this sender is Domain Key verified the technology that Yahoo uses to verify email identity. AHS Organization will only send messages to your Yahoo email address from a convio.net domain or the ahs.org domain. If you receive an email that you believe is questionable, please feel free to contact AHS organization to verify the message's authenticity before clicking on any links in the message.
