adding an email/interest opt-in to a survey

I am trying to add an email opt-in to a survey, only there doesn't seem to be an option of doing so without introducing the opt-in with a question, which ends up looking pretty awful - any suggestions?

Hey Jeremy,

It is possible to do a hidden interest update question that will opt someone in to an email interest but you do still have to have the global email opt-in question as this ensure you are getting the registrant's permission to email them and lessen any future issues with a climbing spam rate for your site.
