My Personal Page - Last Year's Text

Options
In my current set-up, when a returning walker registers for the 2018 event, their "My Personal Page" is already populated with what they left the page with in 2017. They also have their address book in place.

I assume that this is "normal' behavior because I assume it is being told to grab the previous year's set-up with the bonus being that the address book is already in place (assuming they were active with it the previous year). My colleague wants to have only what we wrote for the default personal page,

Is there any way for me to have that update with the Body Text from the "Default Personal Page" on found at 13. a. "TeamRaiser pages"?

Am I doing something wrong?

What options do I have?

    Hi John:

I have this same question last week and contacted support.  Below is their answer.  Hope this helps.  It doesn't help me because we updated our default contact only to find out that anyone registered prior to our update, would not get the revision.  The only way to do it is go to each record and update the default text.  Who has time for that.  There is no global update!

    1. Edits made to the Default Personal Page, in the TeamRaiser configurations, are not retroactive, so those changes will only apply when a new person registers for the event. The best way to update their page, is through these steps: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/62378

    2. If a person was registered to the previous year's event, and they had any customizations to their personal page from that past event, they're personal page from the new event will inherit their customized content. More on this functionality is here: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/64104

    Hi John,

You can contact BB support to turn off the site option which forces Teamraiser to use inherited content. Once it’s off, your returning participants will only see the new default pages you configured.

    Good luck!
