NetCommunity update - email - grow and shrink images

Options
Did the option to grow or shrink an inserted image in NetCommunity email messages get removed in the update?

If so, how do you make an image larger or smaller (if you do not know HTML)?

Thank you!

  • Hi Michaela,

Best practice is to resize your images to the desired size prior to uploading picture into BBNC so the images are't using more data than necessary to render. There are lots of programs to do that with, but one free option I tend to recommend is: https://pixlr.com/, in case you don't have access to photo editing software.

To answer your original question - Technically that option (in its original form) has been removed, but you can still do that if you'd like. When you look at the editor, at the far right side is a icon of an image. Sometimes it can be in the second row all by itselft as in my screen shot. If you select your image & then click that icon you'll see the appearance tab. When you activate that tabm you'll see the image dimensions - that's where you can resize images outside of HTML. I would recommend never growing an image, again so your not serving up emails that are a large data suck for your mobile readers, but you can faux-shrink images via the appearance tab.

    Hope that helps!

Let me know if you have other questions/issues with images.
