Opt-out through BBNC

We like sending out emails to our alumni and friends using BBNC, but notice a HUGE problem...unless our constituents already have a BBNC login account established, if they hit UNSUBSCRIBE, the only 'opt-out' option is to opt out of all emails from our organization. If you do have an account, you can choose from a list of options we have pre-determined.


Is there a work-around for this issue that we don't know about?


Since we started using BBNC, thousands of constituents have unsubscribed from EVERYTHING and that's a huge problem. We haven't rolled out login yet, but even when we do, many people won't create a BBNC account.

That's the same problem we've encountered in Online Express. We ultimately decided to switch to MailChimp. It's not as nice with the data integration, but at least we don't lose so many subscribers!

We've created a form that gives users the options 1. to choose what types of emails they'd like to receive, 2. change their email address or 3. opt-out of all emails.  The form has a comment field which we can track reasons why people are unsubscribing as well.  It cuts down on time as it can be done through ImportOmatic instead of processing one by one through the plug-in.
