Required address field left blank during free registration (RELO connector)

When processing "free registrations" through the RELO connector gifts & registrations, the consitutents address does not appear under donor information. I can see the linked contitiuent name along with their address that comes from Raiser's Edge. When processing all other gifts that come through the 'gifts and registrations' part of the RELO connector, I can see the address and make sure it is a match with the linked record coming from Raiser's Edge.


The answer I received:
"I've been doing some digging on what comes through with "free registrations" and those don't include the address information, meaning that's standard behavior for those. I did some testing on our side and experienced the same result. You can use the "open constituent" button on the free registrations when viewing their gifts to obtain the information regarding the physical address from Luminate Online, but specifically the free registrations don't pull that information through the plugin like others do."


It sems to me that going this route defeats the purpose of the RELO connector. And, it is not an efficient use of my time considering all of the records I need to process at a time.

  • I noticed this exact thing just the other day. Fortunately for me, free registrations are not common, but this seems like a real problem. 


    There are a handful of truly perplexing things about Lumiante and the way it integrates with RE.

    Yes, free registrations are a bit different. It really stems from the fact that because the registration is free, there is no billing information.


    When looking at an individual registrant's merge information in the Gifts and Registrations UI, the information on the left is billing information that is contained in the TeamRaiser transaction that Luminate Online sent and that will be processed, while the information on the right is registrant information that is already in the RE database.


    Since billing information is not captured for a free registration, this merge can't validate consistency of address data. 


    If your organization uses free registrations and this is a priority, please consider opening a feature request. For others who can also use a change in free registration syncs, please vote for the request to highlight the importance. Product Management monitors these requests and votes.
