Online Pledges?

We have just transitioned from NetCommunity over to LO. However, we are having issues with online pledges, in that we can't figure out how to allow a donor to select "Pledge" as a gift type, select their payment schedule, provide a credit card for payment, have that gift come into RE with a gift type of "Pledge", and allow payments to be generated through EFT. This is available in NetCommunity, but we can't figure out how to do it in LO. The LO gifts are coming in with a gift type of "Recurring Gift", which we DO NOT want.  Please advise. Thanks.

We just finished our Go! Program so I'm still a bit new to the system myself.  From what I've learned and seen here posted in the Community, there is NO way to receive Pledge payments through LO.  Since the forms are hard coded, there really isn't any wiggle room to list a subtype Gift.  I would, however, contact Support to confirm my understanding.

We are currently in this exact same boat. We were advised to gather information through a survey, but then that still requires manual labor on our end to enter each gift into RE. I'm still looking for answers on how to minimize this headache of a problem.

I know there's much manual labor entering pledges into RE, but I wonder if you could have a specific form only for pledges and include the "recurring" monthly donation option and enter the word "Pledge" as a lable next to the donation amounts on the form.  See a sample general donation form:




I'm not sure if that would work, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Has anything been updated in LO on the pledge issue? We use Raiser's Edge also and would really like to have a pledge option/form that then downloads into Raiser's Edge with gift Type= pledge. Currently what I do is if a Recurring Donation comes in, and we know it's a pledge, and want to count it that way, I have to download the recurring donation, delete it, and add it manually to the record as a pledge. I've learned how to download recurring gift pay-cash and change them to pledge payments, but there is no way to change recurring gifts to pledges in Raiser's Edge.
