Luminate Online and Matching Gifts

We moved from Sphere and NetCommunity to Luminate Online/TeamRaiser.  We have MatchFinder Online and had this set up on our donation and registrations forms in NC and Sphere.  I want to do the same with our Luminate/TeamRaiser forms but Blackbaud said I can't.  They said I would have to use their 3rd party vendor to incorporate the matching gift function on my forms, which I refuse to pay another 3rd party vendor for a service I already have from Blackbaud.  Does anyone have MatchFinder Online and have you been able to integrate it in to your Luminate/TeamRaiser donation/registration forms?  We are losing MG revenue because we no long have this on our forms.  Frustrated!!

Hey there, Patti. 


If you go to http://hepdata.com and set up an account with them for use with Luminate Online, all that you need is a "Customer Code" from them for us to input that into your Luminate Online global set up where when you add the Matching Gifts data element to your donation form, it will synchronize with HEP Data. To have it integrated into your Luminate Online site you can either ask your Customer Success Manager or Luminate Online support to add the HEP Data Customer Code to the "DON_HEP_CUSTOMER_CODE:" Site Data Parameter (SDP).


Once you have HEP Data integrated with your global site set up it will work similar to this donation form for the Autry Museum for the American West donation form at http://autry.convio.net/donate.  Type in "Best Buy" in the Matching Gifts field and search.  It will let you know the gift ratio and maximum amount to give before the match is exhausted for the year.

Don't you have to pay for their service?  That's is what I am trying to avoid.  We are already paying for Blackbaud's MatchFinder Online and want to use that, not another 3rd party.

I believe this was set up when Convio was still a competitor to Blackbaud.  Since the acquisition, this setup with HEPData has remained.  This could be something to suggest at our Idea Bank at https://luminateonline.ideas.aha.io/ to add MatchFinder to the list of compatible options for Employer Matching on the Luminate Online platform.

I know this post was created several years ago, but I wanted to provide clarification in case anyone else stumbles across this thread: Double the Donation's 360MatchPro integrates directly with Luminate Online, Online Express, Team Raiser, RE NXT donation forms, BBCRM and more. While this is still a third-party option, it does offer a very wide range of integrations across Blackbaud products. It also operates on a sliding pricing scale so that organizations of different sizes can see an ROI from the solution.
