NetCommunity Registration & Invited box in Raiser's Edge

Greetings! It's high season for donor events, and we're trying to leverage NetCom with registration. We're hosting an by-invititation event with online registration. When an invited guest registers through NetCom, it does not check the invited box in RE7. Now my assistant has to not only insure the registration doesn't duplicate a current record, but she also has to go into RE7 to check the invited box. Any solutions? thanks!

    I think typically when you add the your registrants to the event record you would update the Invited field at that time. 

    Then as registrations come in, you're just updating the Registered field. 

    And then after the event, you would update the 'Has Attended' checkbox.

    Unfortunately, if the participant record is on already on the event record (so that you can track who was invited), when that person registers through NC, when that NC registration is being processed through the RE Plug In, you can't link the new registrant participant record to the existing invited participant record...and you wind up with duplicates.  We've been on NC for several years and this has always been a problem.
