How can we notify an alumnus or our staff when someone changes their Profile aside from using the RE plug-in?

We need to hav a back-up copy of all updates done through a user's profile form. This can be a downloadable spreadsheet, or an email that notifies our staff for each update. After we process this information in the RE plug-in it's added to our database, but we need to keep track of these updates as a back-up when users have questions.


It's possible to do this for Forms in BBNC, but how can we do this for the Profile Update form?

Darn, I thought I might have the answer but I think not ---

• For other things users can do (like make an online donation or register for an event), you can choose to Export the transactions before processing. This will create a file that you can then save out for later reference.  
  • But Export is NOT available for User Profile Updates.

 

• Also, you can set up Email Notifications for these transactions as well - for membership requests, online donations and event registrations - and have them kick out an email to staff that you can specify (it's a rather hidden feature in BBNC/Email/Notifications).  
  • It's not a well-known feature but is actually quite useful. Here's Blackbaud's great documentation on this: http://www.blackbaudknowhow.com/blackbaud-netcommunity/how-to-create-email-notifications-in-blackbaud-netcommunity.htm
  • But it's not available for Profile Updates.

So STRIKE 2 -- for some reason it seems you can't do either of these for Profile Updates? 

--> Blackbaud - any explanation why Profile Updates don't behave like these other transactions?

Happy Friday! Email notifications from Blackbaud NetCommunity and export functionality from the plugin were originally geared towards financial record keeping and providing updates to staff members who may not work in The Raiser's Edge but work in a department who would need to be notified of any financial transactions, such as accounting or finance.


Our Product Management team frequently monitors the community for idea and suggestions from users for possible features in upcoming releases, though. If a suggestion particularly has a large number of requests, the team will consider that idea for a future release.
