When a constituent makes a donation through an event rsvp, the donation is not showing up on the Donation tab. It only shows up as part of the registration. Any chance that can be fixed?

Hi Tina - thanks for posting. When a participant decides to make an extra donation with their event registration, the transaction is still considered part of the event transaction. This is working as indented today, although we could reconsider in the future.



Were you hoping to see them split apart because you have separate people at your organization responsible for gifts and events?

I understand that it comes in as part of the event rsvp but I was hoping that it would go into RE Event on the Donation Tab. It is a donation and not an event registration. It seems to be circumventing how the module is designed. It has nothing to do with who processes but yes we have different folks processing events registrations versus gift processing. It really has to do with utilizing the module how it was intended.

Hi Tina - I understand your point, and we appreciate the feedback. This is something we could consider again for the future - but it is working as intended today. The download processes for each area of the product are specific to the forms that belong on that area.



In this case, the transactions are all coming from the event registration form. It works the same way with our new membership functionality as well: extra donations made with a membership are all part of the same membership transaction.



The benefit of keeping things together per form type is that transactions can be processed more quickly from the same form types. I understand your position however, particularly where two separate people process different types of transactions.
