How to Upload Donate Now Java Script to website

Options
Just went through Q4 Online Express webinar - trying to get the Online Express Donate Now page button into our website - so we can build forms and emails.

Where/How do we put the Donate Now Java Script on our website?

    Hi Sari,

It looks like you were using NetSolutions before and with that product you needed to create a link to an external webpage (e.g., create a button). With Online Express, you can drop the form anywhere on your website.

So I think you need to next create a new webpage on your website and then drop your new Online Express web form on that new page. Then you can link to that new webpage and web form from http://miyfs.org/donate/donate/.

Here's a video that explains how to place your form on your webpage in more detail:

If that doesn't help, just let me know and I'll reach out offline.
  • Thank You Brandon. It turns out that our website is a WordPress.com NOT WordPress.org - and they do not allow Java Script plug-ins.

I tried multiple time - even with a OLX Support Guru.

Do you know of any work-arounds. We're literally STUCK in the MUCK here not being able to use this cool product now. HELP!

Hi Sari, usually you can upgrade your Wordpress account to allow things like plugins, CSS edits, and other advanced features. I will reach out offline to see what assistance I can offer.
  • Thanks - I hope you can work me up some magic!

This is what I found, again referring to the WordPress.com site - of which we use.

    JavaScript

Users are not allowed to post JavaScript on WordPress.com blogs. JavaScript can be used for malicious purposes. As an example, JavaScript has taken sites such as MySpace.com and LiveJournal offline in the past. The security of all WordPress.com blogs is a top priority for us, and until we can guarantee scripting languages will not be harmful, they will not be permitted.

JavaScript from trusted partners, such as YouTube and Google Video, is converted into a WordPress shortcode when a post is saved.
