Major issue with Events in Transaction Manager

Issue with ticket sales for events. Currently when people register for an event an buy multiple tickets (and do not complete details for their guests' names) the person buying the tickets will appear numerous times against the event. E.g. Sam Smith buys 4 tickets, then Sam Smith will appear 4 times as an event participant. Each of his records will show 1 ticket. This is frustrating for a number of reasons. When you view the Participants tab it is very difficult to see clearly how many tickets have sold. Surely it is far more logical for the system to update with Sam Smith listed once with 4 tickets listed against the registration fee tab relevant to Sam Smith? It is particularly frustrating when arranging to send out tickets, which I want to do by pulling off address labels from the system as from what I can see I will need to count the number of tickets associated with each Registrant. Any advice or help???
