Hi Jessy, thanks for posting. Online Express has some pretty handy features built into the color picker to make color selection easy.

First, you can enter the exact desired colors on the right side of the color picker. This allows for RGB or hex color format, which are the most common web formats. Pantone colors are typically used for print. If your web folks can't provide your organization colors in RGB or hex, a quick google search should find you an easy converter from Pantone to other more web-friendly formats. I'd recommend keeping your organization's hex colors handy for any other web applications you may encounter.

Another handy feature in the color picker is the recently used color selection. In my screenshot below, the bottom six colors are ones that I most recently used, so you can quickly and easily access a consistent color palette when you create an email message.

Finally, you can specify your organization primary and secondary colors which will always appear as quick selections in your color picker. In the screenshot above, the colors I choose were the blue and green, just to the right of the grey-scale quick selections. You can adjust this setting from the Account menu > Organization info.
  • This is great Matt. However, my color picker does not have the RGB areas on the side. It doesn't look like the one above at all.

I did convert the RGB to HEX but don't see how to make it save as a frequently used color since ours doesn't look like yours.

Hey Jessy - thanks for the screenshot. It looks like you are accessing the color picker from the text editor directly. This currently uses an older color picker that we are hoping to upgrade soon.

Instead, try using the "Style" tab at the top of the email editor, then clicking on the content area you wish to adjust, then adjust your colors with the tools (and fancy color picker) on the left.
