Is the unsubscribe button a "single-click" process? If so, how do I change it so it is NOT a single-click process?

Options
I tried unsubscribing my own email during a test and the unsubscribe landing page seemed to be a "one-click" process but because it was a test email, maybe it wasn't the same as during a regular email blast.

I'd really like the process to be NOT "one-click" as this can lead to constituents too easily accidentally unsubscribing from our list.

Hi Peter. In order for your organization to remain CAN-SPAM compliant, the unsubscribe link must be clear and available, and the unsubscribe page may only require one confirmation click to complete. Online Express handles this all for you, no need to worry. Check out the image below when a user clicks the unsubscribe link in an email. Looking at the aggregate unsubscribe data in 2014, the unsubscribe rates are where we expect.

  • Thanks, Matt. From your picture, it looks like the process is "two-click." One click to get to the landing page pictured, and another to get removed. Maybe I don't have all my terms correct, but I think what you're showing me is exactly what we want. Thanks!
