Donor/Prospect Screening Reviews

Options
My organization is currently comparing three donor/prospect screening services and would like to know what your experience has been with the following:
  • DonorSearch
  • WealthEngine
  • ResearchPoint
We have over 2,400 constituents in RE and are in the process of growing our database and developing a major giving campaign.  Please share your good and bad experiences with me!

Thanks,

Amber

  • I had used wealth engine for over 10 years, spanning two different organizations.  I thought they were great, until they made some changes to their platform with wealthengine 8. I felt the quality of their data declined when they made some of these changes. The real estate piece was not calculating the same, their overall service was not finding data that it used to, etc. For a time, we had access to find wealth 8 and also their previous version, so we were able to plug data into both and we were getting different results!

We have since switched to research point and love it. Love the ability to reject information, which then recalculates their rating. Also love the integration and how the data flows right into the prospect tab.
  • WealthEngine was okay but became clunkier and really dirtied RE up when they upgraded to 8 and forced us to add all new scoring codes.  It was also clunky to use.

We went to ResearchPoint, which my director and I had used previously and love the ability to confirm or reject items as belonging to that person/record, which recalculates their worth/capacity.  The integration is fab, just the click of a button.  Still getting refamiliarized but is running smoothly, and support is very quick with the help when you have questions.
