Pledge Fulfillment

Hello Colleagues,

Is anyone reporting on pledge fulfillment from year to year? Before I jump in with both feet to figure this out, I'd like to know if someone has been doing this and willing to share how.

Do you mean cash flow projections?  THere is a canned report that you can use for that.  It's always been sufficient for my finance office.

We are looking more toward fulfillment rate from year to year. Percentage of pledges paid to pledges made.

I would be interested to hear answers on that too.  I tried to pull similar info once and found that the export fields available were not quite what I was looking for.

If there's fulfillment rate data in RE, I haven't seen it.  Records > Funds > select fund > View > Summaries pulls all kinds of stats but not fulfillment rate.  Can pull amount written off and/or balance. Same with the Pledge Status Report.  



 I think to get #s for year to year it will take several queries to get # of pledges, # of pledges with balance and/or write off (this could be full amount or partial) etc. for each year and then figuring percentages.  



Pledge fulfillment or fulfillment rates doesn't even seem to be in knowledgebase.



Hopefully someone will have a post that it's there and just a 'best kept secret' in RE.

I found donor retention rate and donor attrition rate, but not pledge fulfillment rate in knowledgebase. That is why I came here to you smart people. ;-)

Okay, so I think I have figured this one out. Please, colleagues, try it and see if it works for you.



Like donor retention, I made a static constituent query with gift type one of pledge, mg pledge and gift date between 7/1/2014 and 6/30/2015. I saved it and it generated keys on the pledges and noted the number. I made a second static constituent query with gift date between 7/1/2014 and 6/30/2015 and gift pledge balance equals $0.00 and base it on the first query (menu, tools, query options, record processing tab, check select from query, binoculars, choose the first query, okay). It will generate keys; Note the number. Divide first number into second, multiply by 100 and voila, pledge fulfillment.
