Attributes security by type / Event security by type

Hello,



We are using Raiser's Edge build 5056 and are giving restricted access to faculty members that should not have any information regarding gifts, funds, appeals or anything regarding money.  



Our problem is: we are trying to restrict access to some attributes by type (we are using some attributes to segment our donators) and to some events by type (some events concern attribution of scholarships and fundraiser events).  



Blackbaud told us that it is actually not supported in the Raiser's Edge but some other customers had this problem.

Without using constituency codes (we are already using them for other purposes), is it possible to restrict access to some attributes and events based by their type?



If you had this problem, how did you manage to cope with this? Have you found a way to restrict the acces or did you gave more access to the users touched by this?
