Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, our mission is to feed America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.The OpportunityThe Social Media Manager, Digital Engagement will manage the development and execution of the digital content marketing plan across social media platforms, in alignment with overall digital and marketing strategy to drive brand awareness and individual engagement.ResponsibilitiesCurate and orchestrate a cohesive content marketing strategy across all social media properties, in coordination with digital and organization-wide content strategy and marketing plan — informing/coordinating with paid media, donated media, email marketing, cause/corporate partner campaigns, etc., ensuring FeedingAmerica.org is the hub for digital engagement.Manage social content editorial calendar and coordinate with interdepartmental team to feed content for digital content marketing plan (communication, brand, direct marketing, cause, program, advocacy and the network) and curate for optimal engagement and action via social channels.Plan and support key Feeding America campaigns and events through social media (e.g. Hunger Action Month, Give A Meal, Map the Meal Gap, etc.) including content strategy and execution.Serve as primary community manager for Feeding America in all social media.Develop documentation and ensure ongoing maintenance of organizational social media guidelines, best practices and administrator permissions and roles. Develop processes to coordinate and meet interdepartmental needs, such as influencer and media outreach plan with Communication dept.Manage day to day operations of social media agency and other digital agencies as needed.Serve as subject matter expert on social media practices staying abreast of quickly evolving social media environment and serving in consultation to key stakeholders throughout the organization including donor recognition, advocacy, corporate partners, brand marketing and network members.Work with Director, Digital Engagement, to create and establish regular reporting and analysis of social media metrics and KPIs to monitor and analyzing social media performance based on organizational goals of brand awareness and engagement.Serve as back up to Content Marketing Manager, Digital Engagement to support FeedingAmerica.org.RequirementsMust submit resume and cover letter to be consideredBA/BS, Marketing, Communications major preferred.5+ years in digital experience plus 2 years’ experience in Marketing. Nonprofit experience a plus.Strong creative, diplomatic, interpersonal and presenting skills.Strong understanding of social media, including platforms, reporting/tracking tools.Technically proficient with base understanding of HTML, Website design and management; analytics tools.
